Internship Overview

Available Internship Opportunities
MISA has four internship fields open. Each requires specific qualifications at NQF Level 6 or 7.
Information Communication Technology (ICT) Intern
Reference: MISA/ICT/01
Qualification: IT or Computer Systems Engineering
This role involves supporting IT systems and projects in a government setting.
Finance Intern
Reference: MISA/FINANCE/02
Qualification: BCom Accounting, Financial Management, or Cost & Management Accounting
Interns here assist with financial tasks and budgeting for infrastructure support.
Internal Control and Compliance Intern
Reference: MISA/ICC/03
Qualification: Accounting, Auditing, Internal Audit, or Risk Management
Duties include checking compliance and helping with risk assessments.
Legal Services Intern
Reference: MISA/LEGAL/04
Qualification: LLB or Law Degree
This position supports legal reviews and documentation for municipal projects.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, you must meet these basics:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be unemployed with no prior internship experience.
- Hold a National Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6/7).
Prepare a completed Z83 form and an updated CV. Shortlisted candidates will submit certified documents later.
Key Responsibilities
