Program Overview
Joburg City Theatres runs this internship to help unemployed graduates aged 18 to 35. You will work in cultural spaces like Soweto Theatre and Joburg Theatre. Available Positions
Two types of internships are open for 2026.
Customer Services Intern
This role is at Soweto Theatre in Jabulani. The reference number is CS/ST/04/2026. You need a Diploma in Public Administration to qualify. In this position, you will handle customer needs and support theatre events.
IT Intern (two spots)
These are based at Joburg Theatre in Braamfontein. Use reference number IT/JT/04/2026. A Diploma in Information Technology is required. You will assist with IT support, networking, and systems maintenance.
Who Can Apply
You must meet these basic rules:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Live in the Johannesburg area.
- Hold a completed diploma (Grade 12 is not enough).
- Have no past internships in a similar field.
- Show basic computer skills and strong communication.

Stipend and Benefits
