Internship Fields
BOCMA has openings in three areas.
Water Resources Management (10 Positions)
You need a Bachelor’s degree in Water Resources Management, Environmental Science, or related fields. Honors degrees in Microbiology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry also qualify. Interns monitor water quality and ensure rules for the environment are followed.
Water Resource Planning – Hydrology/Geology (2 Positions)
A Master’s degree in Hydrology, Hydrogeology, or Geology is required. This role involves modeling water flow and planning for the future.
Water Resource Planning – Engineering (2 Positions)
Hold a Bachelor’s in Civil or Agricultural Engineering. Interns help design water systems and infrastructure.
Duration and Stipend
The internship runs for 24 months on a fixed contract. You receive a monthly stipend of R7,500 for NQF Level 7-8 qualifications or R10,000 for NQF Level 9.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must be South African citizens under 36 years old and currently unemployed. You need a relevant degree with at least 60% in your final year. No prior internships count against you.
