Young people can apply from these six nations:

  • Italy
  • France
  • Spain
  • Tunisia
  • Morocco
  • Lebanon

The program mixes people from these places to build understanding and teamwork. This setup lets everyone share ideas from different cultures.

Main Goals of the Program

YES-MED aims to boost young people’s place in society and the economy. Key targets include better job skills, starting businesses, green habits, and work in Social and Solidarity Economy. It also builds networks for global teamwork and lets youth lead local efforts.

Participants learn to innovate in ways that help society. The program pushes for jobs that care about people and the environment. This creates real change that spreads to communities.

The Youth Mediterranean Empowerment Path

This is the heart of the program under Work Package 3. It picks 120 young leaders for hands-on training. The path runs about 40 hours between September and October 2026.

Partners design it to fit local needs and participant backgrounds. It blends classroom lessons with real-world practice. This helps everyone grow as community leaders.

Key Skills Participants Will Gain

The training covers practical topics for today’s world. Here are the main areas.

Social and Solidarity Economy

Trainees study economy models that focus on social good. These include community growth, inclusion for all, steady resources, and honest business starts. They see how these fix problems in Mediterranean areas.

International Cooperation

The program teaches how to team up across borders. Skills cover making partners, working with different cultures, community ties, and global views on growth.

Digital Skills

Youth build tools for modern work. This means better online business, talking digitally, running projects, teaming up remotely, and new ideas through tech.

Environmental Sustainability

A big part stresses green living. Topics include steady growth, business that saves the planet, daily eco habits, awareness of nature, and community green plans.

Project Cycle Management

Learners master full project steps. They cover planning, doing the work, checking progress, reports, and handling risks. These steps make social projects succeed.

Business Model Development

Participants create solid business plans. They design social companies, fix community issues with new ideas, and learn startup steps.

Financial Literacy

The training adds money skills like budgets, planning funds, handling resources, and keeping projects money-smart over time.

Pilot Actions for Real Change

After training, youth enter Work Package 4. They design and run small projects at local, national, or global levels. These youth-led efforts focus on communities.

The actions aim for lasting effects, more people involved, strong youth guides, fresh ideas, and wide community benefits. This turns learning into action.

Transnational Youth Mobility Scheme

Work Package 5 picks 24 from the 120 for travel abroad. This mobility links youth workers, Social and Solidarity Economy businesses, and community groups.

It builds talks between cultures and lasting job ties. Travelers gain world views, new contacts, shared stories, career boosts, and deep learning. This forms a strong network for green business and teamwork in the region.

Reasons to Apply for YES-MED 2026
