African University of Science and Technology Courses 2025\/2026 academic session | This is the full and updated list of AUST accredited courses and fees, admission entry requirements, and faculties programmes available for the 2025\/2026 admission exercise.<\/strong><\/p>\n All candidates seeking admission to study at African University of Science and Technology, Abuja (AUST) for 2025\/2026 session are hereby directed to check the list of available Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Direct Entry, JUPEB, Masters, Certificate, Diploma, Degree, Distance Learning programmes and Short Courses offered at AUST that has gained the National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation before applying.<\/p>\n All you need to know about AUST are published here on theinfoportal.com has obtained from the official AUST website.<\/strong><\/p>\n Below are the undergraduate courses that you can study at AUST:<\/p>\n (1) Theoretical and Applied Physics<\/strong><\/p>\n AUST offers a Master of Science (M.Sc.) program in Theoretical Physics as a first step in preparing students for a career in teaching and research, which is part of the training infused into the Ph.D. program. Following the MSc, students are expected to pursue a PhD at AUST under a sandwich program with the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP).<\/p>\n In addition to the basic courses, students are introduced to important and recent research areas in condensed matter theory, atomic and molecular physics, energy physics, biophysics, general relativity and cosmology.<\/p>\n (2) Pure and Applied Mathematics<\/strong><\/p>\n (3) Petroleum Engineering<\/strong><\/p>\n (4) Materials Science and Engineering<\/strong><\/p>\n (5) Computer Science<\/strong><\/p>\n The African University of Science and Technology (AUST) offers graduate level courses leading up to a Master of Science (MSc) and a Ph.D degrees in Computer Science.<\/p>\n In addition to the basic courses, students are introduced to important and current research areas in Artificial Intelligence, Visualization and High Performance Computing (HPC), Database and Information Systems, Architecture, Parallel Computing and Systems, as well as Scientific Computing.<\/p>\n The African University of Science and Technology has started M.Sc. by coursework which took effect from July, 2017. The University offers a 12-month M.Sc. Program by coursework only, in each of the three fields listed below.<\/p>\n Courses offered at AUST for M.Sc. by coursework<\/strong><\/p>\n (1) Applied Statistics<\/strong><\/p>\n (2) Management of Information Technology<\/strong><\/p>\n (3) Mathematical Modelling<\/strong><\/p>\n Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n Prospective applicants should already have an appropriate Bachelor\u2019s degree. At a minimum, applicants must have a Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Computational Sciences, Engineering or Physical Science from a recognized university with a minimum of Upper Second Class Honours classification or a GPA of at least 3.5.<\/p>\n Candidates from francophone countries should have a \u201cMaitrise\u201d degree \u201cavec mention bien\u201d or, better still \u201cavec mention tr\u00e8s bien\u201d, and have an acceptable level of proficiency in English.<\/p>\n In summary, minimum admission requirements must fall within one of the conditions stated below:<\/p>\n In addition to good preparatory Mathematics courses, students are expected to have knowledge of a modern programming language (e.g. Java, C, C++, and Computer Operating Systems)<\/p>\n Financial AID\/Scholarships at African University of Science and Technology<\/strong><\/p>\n In the first decade of its existence, every student who came to AUST was able to do so on a full scholarship, the result of dedicated fund-raising efforts to remain faithful to the original thought expressed by Nelson Mandela in support of the AUST, namely that no one with the ability to study and conduct valuable research should be prevented from doing so by lack of money.<\/p>\n AUST continues to find ways to continue on that path and, today has a number of programs committed to supporting young women who wish to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) by providing full scholarships for study at both the Master\u2019s and doctoral levels.
