Programme Purpose

The main goals are to help learners earn an artisan qualification, get practical experience, prepare for trade tests, and build skills needed in mining. This setup turns new entrants into skilled workers ready for the industry.

Minimum Requirements

Academic Requirements

You need a Grade 12 or Matric at NQF Level 4. Plus, hold an N2 qualification with at least four relevant subjects, or an NCV Level 4 in engineering.

Additional Requirements

Be ready for knowledge tests, psychometric assessments, interviews, a medical fitness certificate (Red Ticket), and Heat Tolerance Screening (HTS).

Key Responsibilities

In the program, you will help qualified artisans with maintenance, repair and replace parts, keep equipment to standards, finish training modules, follow safety rules, diagnose basic faults, and aid daily operations.

Who Should Apply

This fits those with Matric and technical subjects, N2 or NCV Level 4 in engineering, interest in becoming artisans, passion for mining, and physical fitness for the work.
