Are you a young South African looking for a way to start a career in mining and engineering? The Marula Platinum Engineering Learnership Programmes 2026 offer a great chance for unemployed youth to gain skills in high-demand trades. Hosted by Marula Mine, part of the Implats Group in Limpopo, this program mixes classroom learning with real work experience to build future artisans.
Overview of the Programme
Marula Mine runs this learnership to train people for artisan jobs in the mining sector. It starts on 30 April 2026 and runs for a set period with both theory and hands-on practice. The job grade is EL, and it targets fields where South Africa faces skill shortages.
Trades Available
Learners can choose from these key trades:
- Diesel Mechanic
- Boilermaker Plater
- Electrical
- Fitting (including Machining)
- Auto Electrical
- Instrumentation
These skills are in short supply, so they lead to strong job prospects in mining and engineering.
