Joburg City Theatres is offering valuable youth development internship opportunities for 2026. These programs are designed to give unemployed South African youth practical experience in the arts sector. If you are between 18 and 35 years old, live in Johannesburg, and have a passion for performing arts, this could be a great chance to start your career.

About the Joburg City Theatres Internship Programme

Joburg City Theatres (JCT) is providing internship positions to young people living in Johannesburg. The goal of this internship program is to offer hands-on work experience to students and graduates. This experience is often needed to complete their studies or to help them grow in their chosen careers. The program is set to last for a period of up to 24 months.

To be eligible for these internships, applicants must meet several requirements. They need to be South African citizens and fall within the age range of 18 to 35 years old. It is also important that applicants reside within Johannesburg communities. A key condition is that applicants must not have participated in an internship program before, unless that previous internship was not related to their current field of study.
