Lancet Laboratories is opening doors for South African youth with its Pre-Analytical Internships 2026. This programme targets unemployed individuals ready to step into the healthcare world. It offers hands-on experience in pathology labs, helping you build skills for a career in medical support.

About the Internship Programme

Lancet Laboratories runs this internship to train people in lab operations. You will work in a real healthcare setting, handling samples and supporting daily tasks. The focus is on pre-analytical work, which means preparing samples before testing. This role follows strict standard operating procedures to keep everything safe and accurate. The programme runs in South Africa, with applications closing on 12 May 2026.

What Interns Will Do

Interns join the Pre-Analytical team to manage pathology samples from start to finish. Key tasks include sorting and distributing samples, registering them in the system, and tracking their progress. You will also scan patient forms, help with dispatch to couriers, and keep the workspace clean. These duties give you a full view of lab support and admin work.
