Key Learning Areas

The programme teaches hands-on skills in several areas. You will handle events from start to finish. Donor relations and service come next, along with using CRM systems to track contacts. Fundraising campaigns and managing merchandise round out the experience.

Key Responsibilities

Events and Engagement Support

Assist in setting up fundraising events like marathons, webinars, and school visits. Track donations from EFT or platforms like GivenGain. Help with event setup, logistics, and sending out merchandise. Talk to donors and get them more involved.

Donor Support and Communication

Answer donor questions by email or phone. Keep donor profiles up to date. Log every interaction in the CRM system. Send thanks and updates to donors on time.

Administration and Reporting

Keep records of fundraising efforts, both digital and paper. Help write standard procedures and check quality. Update the CRM database. Work to boost donor retention through key measures.

Minimum Requirements

Education

You need a National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, or Communications.

Skills and Competencies

Show strong written and verbal communication. Know basic computer tools like MS Word and Excel. Manage your time, organize tasks, multitask, and meet deadlines. Pay close attention to details.

Personal Attributes

Have a real interest in humanitarian work. Bring a strong work ethic and act professional. Focus on customer service. Work well in a team and get along with others. Handle pressure and keep information private.

What You Will Receive

Get a monthly stipend of R5 000. MSF covers 100% of your medical aid. You also receive a transport allowance, cell phone allowance, and work tools like a computer, desk, and internet.
