Main Responsibilities

Trainees handle daily tasks that build hospitality skills. These include compiling orders, stock taking for food and equipment, and store keeping. You will also issue ingredients, plan menus with nutrition in mind, and assist lecturers with cooking demos.

Other duties cover cooking for the crèche, talking to suppliers, making quotations, and helping plan functions. Trainees maintain MSDS records in the kitchen, follow OHS rules, and supervise students during restaurant days and events.
